Anastasia Dzenowagis, BA, BS, MIM, PMP

Anastasia Dzenowagis began participation in the Polish community in Minneapolis in 1990 with Polish    language study at the University of Minnesota where she completed three years of Polish with a 4.0/4.0 GPA. Her father’s parents were ethnic Poles in what is now Lithuania, with some repatriating to Poland and others remaining in Lithuania. Her Mother’s parents were ethnic Poles in Russia, now Poland and Belarus. All of her grandparents immigrated to the US, however never made the cultural transition fully. Through research of her family genealogy, Anastasia reunited all of her US relatives with their relatives in Poland, Lithuania and Belarus.

Anastasia chooses to sit on the board of PACIM to contribute her business background to assist PACIM with project plans, job descriptions, processes and internal controls. Projectizing the events will enable PACIM to continue to build on the quality and success of their events by leveraging the learning of previous years and extensive experience of the event leaders. It will enable PACIM to continue to take its events to a higher level of professionalism, creativity and contribution to Polish culture.

Anastasia hopes PACIM will continue to grow in membership and active participation, to increase in breadth of events and activities, and to improve its visibility locally, nationally and internationally. There are opportunities for greater cohesion with organizations and activities in Poland which could provide new opportunities for PACIM members both individually and collectively.
