I was born and raised in
Chicago, and lived in Southern California for ten years before moving to the
Twin Cities. After living here for many years, I found PACIM and was eager
to join a group with activities that were reminiscent of my growing up years
in Chicago. I enjoyed participating in the activities so much that I wanted
to sit on the board to help guide the direction of the future of the
organization. My hopes for PACIM are that they will be instrumental in
bringing a rich Polish culture to the Polish American community in the Twin
Cities.
I started my higher education at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa
California. Then after marriage and having two children, I finished my
education at North Hennepin Community College with an A.A. degree. I worked
in the travel industry for a major airline for 28 years which gave me the
opportunity to travel all over the world. I am now retired but continue to
be active. I am a volunteer at the Guthrie Theater, Orchestra Hall,
Travelers Assist at the MSP Airport, and of course helping with various
events held by PACIM including the Wigilia and the Bal Karnowalowy. I am the
current co-host for the annual weekend trip to Chicago for the Polish
Constitution Day Parade.
