Warsaw Uprising ’44

Every year on August 1st, the people of Warsaw remember the fallen heroes that fought for freedom during the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. The biggest Polish rebellion against German Nazi occupation during WWII cost over 200 000 lives and led to the destruction of Poland’s capital city.
